Still got all that GMail...
It's kind of sad, I went over to gmailswap.com to see if there was anything there I might be interested in swapping an invite for... nothing. I almost mailed a guy back about an autographed photo of Robert Llewelyn from Junkyard Wars but decided against it. LOLOL Yawn. Oh well, I'm sure someone will turn up that wants them.
John's recovery from The Big Snip hasn't gone so well. There was a HUGE amount of swelling which made it impossible for him to move around much over the weekend. By Monday when it still hadn't gone down he called the doctor's office and the idiot nurse told him that it was normal and sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Well come Wednesday night he was spiking a fever and in a LOT of pain so he calls and gets the actual doctor this time. The doctor prescribes some antibiotics and tells him to come in the next day. SO I take the day off and drive him in, we finally find the office and the doctor finally gets there and John gets in to be seen. The doctor takes one look at John's affected area and tells him he has had some post-operative bleeding and developed a blood clot. If they had known about it on Friday they would have been able to go back in and stopped the bleeding but because it went so long, John is just going to have to suck it up and wait for the blood clot and accompanying effects to dissapate. GAD! John says we should sue them and I'm almost ready to agree with him. The only problem is that he isn't working so it would be tough to prove damages. Of course this means he won't be able to go over and do the work on the third floor of the house he was working on so there goes THAT chunk of change. Heck he can't even get off the dang couch to go pee! So guess who has been picking up the slack... Yeah, that would be me. Yesterday I put oil in my car, did 2 dump runs, picked up the kids, gave them a bath, made them and John dinner, played with them, got them ready for bed, put them down for the night then worked on my puter til 12 ish. And today after I get home from work I have to get the recyclables together and take them next door and do the dishes, pick up the kids, make them and John dinner etc. The tomorrow, I will have to try my best to mow the lawn. I am deathly allergic to cut grass. I really don't want to do this. I asked John if we could call Sonja at the church to see if she could find someone to come out and do it for me but NOOOOOO. "We're too far out, she won't be able to find anybody". Well HE can't do it. And it needs to be done. So that means I have to do it!
(Insert rude expletive here) And he is going to be laid up like this for about a month. The swelling won't be completely gone til the end of summer or more. And we have company coming the last weekend of this month for the Fair. So I have to get the house cleaned up. I hate this. >:o(
Ian was so cute this morning. When I left he was sitting on the car carpet with Machella and he was explaining the difference between a postasuchus and a dinosaur while they were playing trucks. LOLOL Machella is actually a really good friend for Ian. Always has been. She seeks him out and pulls him into things which is exactly what he needs. She holds his hand and puts her arm around him. She really, genuinely likes him, which is so cool. She likes Aidan too. The other day when I picked the kids up after school Ian, Aidan and Machella were all together in the sandbox playing. Well, actually Machella and Aidan were playing and Ian was looking at the slug he found on the yellow plastic ball. :oD Ian and Aidan are actually becoming really good friends/siblings. I'm sure it will all fall apart at some point, but right now they really like each other and like playing and spending time together. I think it's so great, I get all misty just thinking about it. Last night in the car Aidan said "Hey Ian, we didn't have out special talking time today" and Ian said "No we didn't" Aidan said "We'll have it tomorrow" and Ian said "Yeah, we will". It seems that every day when they let Aidan out of the little kid playground onto the big kid playground she and Ian have some alone time together. Ian tells me he gets a bit annoyed when Aidan's friends come over and want to play when he and Aidan are having their special talk time. He says they think Aidan is their sister or he is their brother and he just doesn't like that idea at all. LOLOL Wednesday when John was home alone with the kids and Aidan wasn't doing a great job behaving John called me to vent. Ian was there listening when John said he would chuck Aidan and I could pick up another sister on the way home. Ian got all indignant and told Daddy he couldn't say that because he (Ian) likes Aidan just the way she is". :oD I love that boy.
The doctor gave John a prescription for Oxycodone for the pain but John won't take them. So I am. I've been popping a couple a night before I go to bed and it has actually helped me relax so I can get some sleep. I'm going to be bummed when his prescription runs out. I'll have to see if he'll call the doctor and get some more. LOLOL
Well that's it for today. Peace.
