Ian's tooth and whatnot

I heard back from the dentist today and they tell me it's not a bad thing for permanent teeth to be coming in behind Ian's baby teeth. They said if I really wanted to bring him in I could but it's not neccessary. So ok, I won't bring him in. It doesn't hurt him and it's not going to cause serious orthodontic damage, leave it alone. The loose one is still hanging on, though. I'm pretty amazed.

John got the letter from the Electrician's Union today that he did, in fact, get the interview. COOL! Of course the interview isn't until July and the program doesn't start until September... GAD. Oh well. He FINALLY started getting his unemployment checks so that will be a help. Insurance won't overlap, though. He has to get in 1,000 hours working before the union will start his benefits. poo. So we will probably have to buy back into the insurance here at the university. Which stinks, I might add. It costs too much and doesn't cover too much. bleh. At least we are getting all the major stuff done under the good insurance. John is making his contribution to population control on Friday. He is going in and getting The Big Snip. LOLOL And Ian will have one more trip to the dentist before the end too.

Right now John is picking up odd jobs as he can. He is doing work for the Interim RE Director at the church. He is putting in the wiring in their house while they are remodeling. He is doing the 2nd floor this week and hopefully he will get paid on Thursday for that, then when it's ready he will go back in and do the 3rd floor and get paid for that. It's better than a stick in the eye.

The house is starting to smell less skunky. We still have a few loads of laundry to do and a couple of carpets yet to wash but I think we will survive the Great Skunk War of '04.
