The universe is being pretty good to me right now. :oD I am trying very hard to be grateful. Aside from the fact that John still doesn't have a job, that is. I keep hoping that there is a good reason and that the right job just hasn't opened up yet.

In spite of being taken for a crackpot, I must say that it seems like all these things happen for a reason. When I worked at Shalom House, I met Auntie and Philip. Through Philip I found the UU church. When I worked at MECA I was able to take the free seminar on HTML coding and I found WOSIB. When I came here to CCI, I found out that Ian had Asperger's Syndrome and I was in the perfect place to learn and get him all the help and intervention possible. When John got the Teamster's job and the great insurance, it was just in time to pay for all of Ian's therapies and my Gal Bladder surgery. So I just trust in the universe and deity that there is a job out there that John will get that will cover the next phase of need in our lives. But sometimes it's hard to have faith. ;oD

Mother's Day was great! The kids gave me the artwork they made in school. Ian made a picture of flowers in a vase glued to construction paper and Aidan made paper flowers on pipe cleaner stems in a decorated orange juice concentrate vase. They are still sitting on the table. They are just beautiful. And in church school, they made me my very first Macaroni Necklace. With a little cut out heart with a unicorn picture glued to it. (Their classroom is called the Unicorn Forest) I wore it out to lunch at the chinese restaurant afterward too, dangit!!! I just love it. :oD John got me 2 of the Mother Love pins from The HungerSite. They look like this:

When you buy things from sponsors of The HungerSite, they add to your food donation. This one added 200 cups of food. He also donated Family Rice Kits in my name through Mercy Corps to a villiage in Africa. Way cool Mother's Day.

Martie and I went over to the regular kindergarten today to check it out. I must say I am VASTLY relieved after this visit. I am starting to feel like things might work out alright. I talked to our Autism Society Advocate on Friday. I love her! LOLOL She is currently in the middle of a court battle with the Falmouth School District because they won't allow her Autistic son to play on the school playground. They seem to feel that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) doesn't apply to them. She sees no reason why we wouldn't be able to start Ian in the regular kindergarten. We had a long talk with the Principal at the regular kindergarten when we were over there and went over some of Ian's issues and strengths and she was all for having him start there. It seems like a really great and inclusive place to be. I think Ian will really like it and do well there. Martie was very pleased with the place as well. We are going to go over to the ABA program on the 19th and then his PET on the 25th. I talked to another teacher from the ABA program on Friday and I am even less impressed with this place than I was before. And boy did she get offended when I called the "TLC Room" the pull-out room. Which is what it is.

So today I am grateful to the god and goddess for everything I have, the good and the bad. And I hope I learn something from all of it.

Peace.
