There was some kind of bizarre, otherworldly, Steven King Children of the Corn meets Maximum Overdrive thing going on this weekend, I think. All the kids at church, including mine were just being little hellions! We think it must have been the solar storms or something. LOL I was hoping to go to the Samhain ritual after the service but putting those children in a room together with a couple of teenagers for an hour just seemed to be asking for trouble. ;oD

We are now the proud almost-owners of a 1993 Saturn. I don't know what model it is but John says it is about the size of the Cavalier we are renting now so it will have to do. We put down $800 on it and have to pay another $400 this weekend. Then we have to come up with the mortgage payment. One thing at a time as they say.

Otherwise it's pretty quiet around the house. Gearing up for trick or treating. Ian has decided now that he wants to be Tigger which is SO much easier than Mothra. I am going to be carving the Jack O'Lanterns this evening. I must say that I do enjoy my reputation of having the coolest Jack O'Lanterns in town every year. Last year's were a bit lame in my own estimation because I didn't carve them until the day of so they were a bit hurried. I even got into the spirit this year and got a witch hat. Purple striped with long purple hair of course. LOLOL It was either that or a red wig with fiber optic lights.

I am looking forward to the new year. I hope it will be a better one. I will try to take some time on Samhain after the kids go to bed to really meditate and try to focus some positive energy into a casting for the coming year.
