Mornin' all. I still have the remnants of last weeks stupid cold, but over all feeling much better.
Ian starts his new routine this week. Monday is all day at home day; Tuesday is Regular school in the morning, One on One Speech, group OT, then back to Regular school in the afternoon; Wendesday is afternoon at New Classes; Thursday is Regular School in the morning and New Classes in the afternoon; and Friday is all day at Regular School day. Dang, that poor kid has a lot of running to do. He is wicked excited though. He still loves his OT appointment and he liked his first one one one speech appointment yesterday. Of course they didn't actually start working yet. It was more of a getting to know you kind of session. On Wednesdays and Thursdays he will ride the bus between Regular School and New Classes and he just loves that idea. It's almost like riding a school ager school bus and he really wants to be a school ager. LOLOL
He's growing up so fast. *sigh* I remember when he was just my little alien baby. When he was first born his head looked like an alien big at the top with a pointy little chin. He was the absolutely cutest thing. We spent the first 5 days in the hospital with him in the Billi Box for jaundice. When we got him out to nurse or anything we had to strap him to a billi pad. He really hated the box and the stupid little mask we had to put over his eyes. Whenever someone came to visit we had to hand him over billi pad and all and couldn't walk around with him because the pad was attached to a machine. The hospital finally got so sick of me being a hormonal mother they let us go home and promise to set him nekid in a window all day so he could get sunlight. They sent visiting nurses to the house to check his blood everyday and he did fine, thank goodness.
Aidan had it too but not quite so bad. She spent her share of time nekid in the window too but we didn't get a visiting nurse with her. We had to drive down to Portland everyday to get her blood checked. Poor little baby had her little heel stuck so much I wouldn't be surprised if that's where half her attitude came from.
Pardon my mommy reminiscenses. I was off my meds for about a week and I'm still trying to find my equalibrium. :oD
Samhain is fast approaching and Ian wants to be Mothra this year. He was Godzilla last year. I have no idea how to make wings. UGH. I am taking the easy way out with Aidan. She is going to be a biker babe. Friend Kathy got her an authentic Harley leather jacket and I found some really cool black sneakers so I'm just going to put some jeans and a t shirt and a bandana on her and she will be good to go. LOLOL
I found out that John's mom is going to come up to help me out the second week after my surgery. From what I understand I should be pretty well healed up by then so I don't know why she is coming but John and her talked and decided it would be a good idea. She is retiring from the IRS this year so I guess she will have the time. I just hate for her to fly all this way when she was just here over the summer for nothing. Granted the ticket was only $150 round trip and it will give her another excuse to see the grandkids so I don't suppose she will feel TOO put out, but still...
*sigh* How sad is a day where the highlight is going out to Wal Mart to get some new jeans. LOLOL
Peace, y'all.
