In Remembrance of Me

Well, I haven't done a Friday Five in a while so here goes:

1. Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
Yes. It was in the 5th grade and her name was Liz. She was a new kid and the teacher was asking for volunteers to be her buddy. Now I was neurotically shy as a child but for some reason I wanted to be the "New Kid Buddy" this time so I volunteered and the teacher picked me. We had one big thing in common, Liz and I. We both LOVED Elvis. I recorded my Elvis records onto cassette tapes and brought them to school and Liz and I would listen to them during recess. I don't remember much else about what we did. She moved to Texas the next year and we wrote for a little while but that was the end of my first best friendship.

2. Are you still in touch with this person?
Nope

3. Do you have a current close friend?
Not that lives close to me. All my close friends live in different states. But at least we are all in the Eastern region of the country. If I ever get money to spend again we will have to have a get together again.

4. How did you become friends with this person?
College. 'nuf said. LOLOL

5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
Lori Ann. I have her email and send her updates on the family webpage but she's a rather busy soul, teaching and raising 3 kids and all. Life is like that. She was my best friend from 6th grade until I graduated. She moved to California and went into the Navy and we lost touch. She found me again and we emailed for a little while. She lives in Texas now with her hubby and kids. It's just nice to know she's out there and doing ok. :oD
