I am so pissed I missed X2 on the big screen. Some days it really sucks to have kids. We are booked to have Auntie babysitting on the 26th and "League of Exceptional Gentlemen" opens this weekend so hopefully it will still be in the theaters by then.
Sunday we went to the library. The kids played with the toys and read books with Grandma and I checked out the book sale. I got some good stuff. For $2.00 I got Plato's Dialogues, The Divine Comedy, The Inferno, In Cold Blood and The Deliberate Stranger. Ok, I'm odd, get used to it. ;oD Then we went swimming in the pool for a while and after that Ian and Grandma put together a Lego robot and Aidan and I painted for a while. After all the kiddies went to bed Grandma and I compared notes on teachers trying to discriminate against our kids because of a diagnosis. John was ADHD as a child, which they called Hyperactive back then so she has been there, done that and bought the T-shirt when it comes to fighting the schools to keep her kid out of the resource room. It was a good talk.
Monday John was home again so we did some inside play and watched movies for a while then had lunch and went to the
Maine Wildlife Park. Ian didn't like the birds too much but the other animals were pretty cool, he thought. I got some pictures of the bears they had there. A momma and 2 cubs. It was pretty fun in a laid back kind of way. If I can get around to unloading the digital camera I will post a couple.
All in all a very relaxing week. And Grandma cleaned up a little bit too, which was WAY cool. We love Grandma. Now we are waiting in anticipation for Gramma Marlene and Grampa Ron to come. Gramma Marlene loves to spend time with the kids and gets up with them in the morning so Mommy can sleep. How cool is THAT!!!!
