Well, I am in a bit of a better place now. I have had a few days to rant and rave and huff and steam about everything. I read a newpaper blurb, buried in the police blotter section, about a mother of a child with disabilites attending the same school district that my kids will be attending who was arrested for handcuffing herself to the doors of the school in protest of the treatment her child was getting. I almost went through the roof! I almost went right down there and told everyone at that school that if they don't mend their ways but quick they were going to wish I would ONLY chain myself to a door. That I was going to be their worst living nightmare. Almost. The older I get the more I know that I need to give myself some time before I run off and do stupid stuff like that. It doesn't mean I won't do it but I just like to stew on it a while now before I do. But I decided that in the interest of Ian's future, that sort of precipitous action was probably ill-advised. *damn* Would have been fun, though.

One of Ian's favorite teachers at the church has offered to go over his report and offer suggestions for help and we have plenty of connections to services and advocacy so I suppose, with some work and vigilence, it will be alright. At least I hope it will. But I can always keep the living nightmare thing on file for later. >;oD
