I hate allergy season. It may be why I'm not more of a gardener/hiker. I love the outdoors. I revel in being in the elements, close to nature, communing with the gods and all the creatures in the Great Cycle... But I loathe pollen. LOLOL It just knocks me for a loop. If I take Claratin early enough, I'm ok, but if not, I have to take Actifed and I am then a zombie for the rest of the day. How sad is that?

We were out in the back yard the other day, me laying in the grass and the kids playing in the sandbox and Aidan, bless her little heart, thought it would be fun to involve mommy in the play. So she walks over and says "Wanna bite?" and dumps a handful of sand in my face. Sputtering and spitting I jump up and try to get the grit out of my nose and remember just how cute she really is. :oD At that point, I decide it's time to go inside and have some milk and fruit salad so I can clean the sand out of my ear. aaaaahhhhh....... Motherhood.

So if I don't post again before Sunday, Happy Mother's Day to all of us. Gritty ears and all. :oD
